Welcome to the Gonzales Thunder Rally located at JB Welles Park, Gonzales Texas! Its not just a Rally but a full concert event. 3 days of music and activities. Everyone is welcome. Bring your Truck, Car, Motorcycle, 4 wheeler or Bicycle! If you can jog ...then thats great too! It doesn't matter what you drive, or what you do...we want you there! Gonzales is south of Austin and east of San Antonio. The entertainment is quality and there will be lots to do! Its time to have some fun so leave your worries at home and come party! There will be biker games, entertainers, and other activities to be announced.

Friday and Saturday will feature Rock, Blues, Classic Rock and Metal. Sunday will be worship service then starting at noon will feature Country and Americana Music. Friday night October 10th we are featuring AXE and GREAT WHITE. Saturday night we are featuring national performing artist: BRET MICHAELS presented by VH-1 "Rock of Love Tour" from the show "Rock of Love" and "Rock of Love II" and frontman for the rock group "Poison". He will be perfoming Saturday, October 11 2008. Regional progressive rock group ELECTRIC OCEAN will also be performing. Also appearing is the Lucky Dare Devil Thrill Show www.luckydaredevil.com and celebrity bike builder Troy Nicholson of Lighting Cycle Works www.lightningcycleworks.com who will build a motorcyle on site. Sunday legendary AUGIE MEYERS will be performing.

This event is for all ages on the main fair ground and has family entertainment and outstanding artists! Stay tuned for a special announcement of national performers. You will be shocked and surprised! The line up is ongoing and growing! We will have performing artists, vendors and events throughout the day. There will be lots of good food and ICE COLD BEER with LIVE MUSIC all weekend.

EVENT INFO
This is a rain or shine event with general admission. Bring lawn chairs and wear appropriate clothing for the weather. There will be many activities to participate in with things to do and see. Be prepared to have fun with quality entertainment. No outside food or beverages is allowed into the fairground. All bike brands are welcome.

If you want to rough it or rest in comfort, below are some great places to visit in Gonzales and surrounding areas. Go camping on the river next to the venue at Independence Park, or rent a cabin at Palmetto State Park and stay there. Palmetto State Park also has camping and RV hookups. Go to Gonzales and stay at a lovely bed and breakfast, pitch a tent by the river or park your RV. Visit the museums there and explore the historical monuments.

There will be onsite camping. Onsite RV's are reserved through the City of Gonzales.

Visit the jail while you are there! No...not the REAL jail (unless you drink and drive or cause trouble) but the historic haunted jail next to court house on the square.
Gonzales is extremely rich in historical sites, ghost stories, battle ground sites and is a landmark in Texas Independance. Explore Gonzales...you are missing out on history if you have not been there. Many RV and Campsites are available in and around Gonzales. How about camping or cooking out by the river? SATURDAY

-Fun Run

Registration begins - 9:00AM
Last Bike Out - 11:00PM
Last Bike in - 3:00PM
Bike Games - 4:00PM

-Plank Ride

A board is place on the ground and the rider must keep his/her tires on the board at all times as he rides from one end to the other. If your tire or foot touches the ground you're done. This is a timed event, slowest across the board is the winner. Best score wins trophy plaque.

-Slow Race

Simple, last one across the finish line wins. You must stay in your lane, and your feet cannot touch the ground. This is timed so the very slowest run is the winner. This is harder than it sounds! Best score wins trophy plaque.

-Skills challenge

This requires a driver & rider. The rider is given 5 balls. As the driver rides past traffic cones, the rider must place the balls on the top of the cone. The teams with most golf balls in place, complete again with the cones being placed closer. Bikes must stay moving, feet cannot touch the ground. The team that keeps the most golf balls on the cones wins. Best score wins trophy plaque.

-Clear the Bar

This game requires a driver & rider. The rider is given a serving tray, and while the driver passes by the "bar" the rider must clear off as many bottles as possible and place them on the tray. At the end of the "bar" the rider must place the tray down on the table keeping as many bottles upright as possible. The team with the most standing bottles on the serving tray wins. Best score wins trophy plaque.

-Water Balloon Toss

As you and your passenger ride under a suspended bar, the passenger throws the balloon over the bar and catches it on the other side. Drop the balloon, your out. Catch the balloon unbroken and the bar is raised again for your next ride. Nobody's feet may touch the ground. This is a fun event only...cool down or enjoy the show. Sorry, no trophy on this one.

-Barrel Push
Push the barre with your front
Tire and keep itl in the lane

-Wiener Bite
The goal is for the Passenger to Bite off as much of the Hanging Coated Wienie as the operator rides under it the Hung Wiener. No, use of Hands by the Passenger to grab the weenie. No stopping once the rider starts the run until while pass the weenie
